Dear Birthmother,
We are Helen and Don. We are so thankful that you have taken time to get to know a little about our family. We have been married for 14 years, during this time we have traveled the world getting to know one another and love each other more every day. After many years of unexplained infertility, we are sure that God’s plan for us includes adoption. We are so very excited to welcome a new addition to our family. We look forward to growing together and sharing our lives.  Our Life TogetherWe met in our small hometown in Georgia through mutual friends. Over time we fell in love and married shortly after Don enlisted in the Air Force. We have lived in various locations from Florida to the Panama Canal Zone to Germany and now California. In each location we made the most of our tour by exploring the culture and local area.
Don is currently a Technical Sergeant in the Air Force working with jet fuel. Helen works as a Training and Curriculum Specialist. She has received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child Development and has almost finished her Master’s Degree in Early Child Education. She hopes to teach school so that she can have holidays and breaks off with our child.
Don likes to golf and fish. We both LOVE to spend time on the lake tubing, swimming, and relaxing with the family. When the weather turns cool, we like to travel and visit parks taking pictures and enjoying nature. 
All about Helen by DonHelen is the most caring person I know. She truly has a heart large enough to care for all of her family, friends, coworkers and then has plenty left for every stranger she meets. Due to my career with the Air Force, we have moved quite a few times. Helen makes lifelong friends everywhere we move and maintains contact with all of them.
Helen enjoys many hobbies. She likes to go shopping with friends, playing fun games, puzzles and reading books. Helen also loves anything to do with water.
She enjoys boat rides, swimming, riding on the jet ski, or just sitting on the shore relaxing.
Helen currently works with youth programs and truly loves working with children. She can’t wait to share her special skills raising our child. I know she will be an amazing mother.  All about Don by HelenDon is the love of my life. He is my rock; he cheers me up when I am sad and makes me laugh when I am tired. I enjoy spending my life with him and look forward to the coming years.
Don has a lot of hobbies, he especially like golfing. He occasionally plays in tournaments with his coworkers. He also enjoys fishing and tubing on the lake. He enjoys weekends on the lake. When we lived in Georgia, we would go camping with his parents and enjoy the weekend on the lake. On many occasions, Don’s brother and his family would come out and spend the day with us. He has recently become interested in photography as well. When the weather does not cooperate, he spends time working on his computer. Don is truly looking forward to teaching our child about all his hobbies.  Our NeighborhoodWe live in a gated community that surrounds a beautiful lake with a number of parks.
Our house has an extra room waiting to become a baby’s room and a backyard perfect for a swing set and lots of running and fun.  Our Promise to YouWe promise to love your child with all our heart. We want to provide your child with a warm and loving home where they can thrive. Your child will have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and we promise to read books, listen music, and join classes and clubs. We’ll do homework together and take walks in the forest, and spends many hours on the lake.
We would be happy to send photos, letters, or emails so that you can see the progress and development as your child grows. We will tell your child how important they are to you and how much you loved them. We would love a chance to talk with you about your hopes and dreams for your baby.
