Our Story

We were introduced by a mutual friend that felt that we would make a great couple- and they were right!  After dating for two years we were married.  Since the day we met, it has been a wonderful adventure. After learning we could not have children, we were led to adoption and were blessed with our son, Ezekiel, who is now 9 and very excited to be a big brother!  We love helping others by serving at our church, going to the movie theater to eat popcorn and watch movies (but mostly eat the popcorn), playing cards and dominoes and other board games. As a family we enjoy traveling, spending time with our extended family, and going to amusement parks. We truly look forward to welcoming your child into our family and fun!

My wife, Camille

I feel so blessed to be able to call Camille my wife. She is very family-oriented and works hard to make our home a warm, inviting and friendly place to be.  She is a very loving, doting, protective and caring mother to our son and works hard to help people at our church reach their potential in Christ.  Camille is a very creative person who enjoys reading, preaching, playing the piano, watching movies, scrapbooking and traveling.  She looks forward to sharing the joys of the Lord with our next child and teaching them to be creative through music and the arts.

My Husband, Barry

Barry is fun-loving, patient and a God-centered person who is always making people laugh. He is compassionate, hardworking, and friendly and loves teaching youth about the love of God.  He is an excellent husband and father who loves to play, encourage, and lead our son in the right way. For 10 years Barry worked as a mentor to boys and now works with the men of our church. He loves to work in the yard, play basketball, go bowling, attend sporting events, and enjoys rooting for the Lakers and 49ers.  He looks forward to sharing Godly wisdom with our next child and teaching them how to play games.

Our Family & Traditions

Our son Ezekiel is a very fun loving young boy.  He is bold, energetic and is very excited about having a little brother or sister.  His favorite things to do are play with his hot wheels, play basketball, and play with friends.  He is excited to teach his little brother or sister how to build and design with Legos.

We are also blessed to have a great extended family.  Barry’s family lives close and we make it a point to get together often for breakfast and visits.  Camille’s mother lives in the South and her brother lives on the East coast.  Our tradition is to visit them at least two times a year to celebrate holidays, attend the State Fair or just to vacation.  We both have extended family throughout the U.S. and this gives us ample opportunity to travel and see different parts of America.

Our family and friends are all looking forward to us expanding our family through adoption.

Our Home in California

Our home is in a residential neighborhood with several families with young children. We live in a warm and comfortable four bedroom home with a nice open backyard. We have several delicious citrus trees on our property from which Ezekiel loves to pick. There is a nice park within walking distance of our home and we are only 35 minutes from the beach.  Our neighborhood parks and recreation areas always have child friendly activities happening- everything from showing moves and swim lessons to helping with homework and game days.

Our Promise

We promise to give unconditional love to your child. We promise to provide educational opportunities that will help them discover the talents and gifts inside them.  We promise to provide a safe, and stable home filled with love and laughter.  We promise to share their adoption story and we promise to speak of you in high regard. Thank you for taking the time to consider us for your child.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests

We all have special interests in our family. Barry bakes a very signature dessert that many people say is very delicious. He bakes it often and we sell it to family, friends, co-workers and others. Camille loves to preach and many have said that they have been impacted in a very positive way because of the word that comes forth from her. She is asked to preach often and loves to help others. Ezekiel loves to put together legos. He is very good and can sit down in one sitting and put together a very complex lego toy. We keep his creations to display to those who come over.

Our Faith

We operate our lives with Christian values and look to God as our source and strength. Our church, which we started 15 years ago, is very important to us. We are looking forward to raising a family with strong Christian values. Camille is the pastor of the church and Barry leads the men's Bible fellowship and youth ministry. Our church family is like our extended family. Every Sunday feels like a family reunion to us. Everyone there is very excited and anxiously awaits the new addition to the family.

Our Musical Interest

We are a pretty musical family. Barry's favorite music is R&B and gospel. He has a wide range of favorites from the oldies but goodies like Temptations and Earth, Wind, and Fire to pop music like Shania Twain and Christian hip hop like Lecrae. Camille was raised in a musical family. Her dad was a band director and her mother was a choir director. She loves all kinds of music; but, her favorite is gospel music. Her favorite artist, at the moment, is Todd Dulaney but she also loves Mary Mary and Kirk Franklin. Ezekiel is musical as well. He is learning to play the drums and the piano and loves to practice at church.

About Our Home

We have an orange tree in our backyard, a lemon/lime tree, blood orange tree, and tangerine tree on the side of our house. Ezekiel loves to go outside and pick the fruit for us to eat. There is a nice park within walking distance of our home and we are only 35 min. from the beach. Our parks and recreational areas always have activities for children and youth. Whether it is learning how to swim, helping with homework, showing movies in the park, or putting on special events for the holidays, the parks and recreation provide many activities for learning and fun.

Our Children

God sent us our son, Ezekiel, through the wonderful plan of adoption. Ezekiel is a very fun loving young boy. He is bold and energetic and is very excited about having a little brother or sister. His favorite things to do are play with his hot wheels, play basketball, put together legos and play with friends. As a family we enjoy play times together, family meals, and traveling together. We have always dreamed of raising children and look forward to expanding our family through adoption.

Our family and Friends

Friends are also very important to us. We are blessed to have a supportive network of friends that live both near and far. Many of our friends have young children and continue to be a wonderful source of support for our family

Our Neighborhood

We live in a quiet, small city on the west coast. We also live near a library, medical facilities, and several schools. We moved to this city because we wanted a safe place to raise a family. It is a city with a country feel. Our area is diverse and provides many activities for families and children through sports, arts, theatre, and dance.
